Featured H.A.L. Artist: Matthieu Lunard
Matthieu Lunard was born in Paris sometime in the late seventies. Enamored by the East, he began to travel around Asia at the age of 20. Four years later, he completed a degree in Chinese Language and Civilization from Jussieu VII University, Paris. Shortly thereafter, he assisted photographers François Rotger (of France) and Satoshi Saikusa (of Japan) — a passion for fashion photography has been evolving ever since.
Vogue China, Madame Figaro, L’officiel Homme, and Dealer Deluxe are among some of the publications to feature Matthieu’s work and he collaborates with agencies such as Elite Paris, IMG, Next, Ford models and Viva models. For six years, Matthieu has been a Shanghai-based freelance photographer with a steady flow of creative projects with a focus on the figure and portraiture.
